Time Trial: Pate turns in world-class 7th place effort; Duggan an impressive 15th place
April 19, 2007 - Chickamauga to Lookout Mountain, GA - In Thursday’s fourth stage of the Tour de Georgia - a grueling 30 km individual time trial - Team Slipstream/Chipotle’s Danny Pate and Timmy Duggan turned in exceptional performances.
Pate, a former Under-23 time trial World Champion, showed his immense time trial talent by placing 7th, behind some of the best time trialists in the world: Levi Leipheimer, David Zabriskie, Nathan O’Neill, Tom Danielson, and David Millar.
Duggan, who also has a strong time trial track record, came through with a strong performance that resulted in 15th place.
Jason Donald, who’s professional breakthrough was an astonishing 2nd place Prologue result at the Tour of CA, also rode well, finishing in 24th place.
