  • Teammate Summerhill takes 9th overall

    Taylor Phinney (Boulder, Colo./TIAA-CREF-5280) took the overall victory at one of the world’s top junior stage races, Le Tour de l’Abitibi in Canada. All six of the talented young Americans representing the United States as the USA Cycling Junior National Team finished the nine-stage race in impressive fashion. Phinney used wins in the prologue and team time trial as well as top-five finishes in nearly every stage to boost him into the overall victory with a time of 11:30:05. Benjamin King (North Garden, Va./Hot Tubes) finished in fifth place overall, only 33 seconds back, and Daniel Summerhill (Centennial, Colo./TIAA-CREF-5280) was also inside the top ten at 58 seconds back.
