May 03, 2007 - Mogollon, NM - Thursday’s Stage 2 of the Tour of the Gila was set to be a day for the climbers, and Team Slipstream/Chipotle’s crew rode pretty well on the long final climb up towards the ghost town of Mogollon, in the Gila National Forest.
Tom Peterson finished 11th, Blake Caldwell 13th, Timmy Duggan 18th and Lucas Euser 24th.
The 5280 Magazine Junior team fared well too, with Robin Eckmann climbing his way into the top-10 overall with a fine 8th place result in the Cat. 3 race. Taylor Phinney bridged to the winning breakaway in the Cat. 2 race and grabbed 3rd on the stage while gaining enough time to take over the race lead. Daniel Summerhill looked good on the day’s final climb as well, finishing 14th on the stage.

May 02, 2007 - Silver City, NM - Mike Creed and Tom Peterson were Team Slipstream/Chipotle’s top performers in Wednesday’s Stage 1 Tyrone Time Trial at the Tour of the Gila in Silver City, NM.
Both Creed and Peterson are well within striking distance of the podium, both sitting at just over 2 minutes behind the leader with plenty of climbing yet to come on Thursday’s Mogollon Road Race, Friday’s Fort Bayard Road Race, and Sunday’s Gila Monster Road Race.
Timmy Duggan also had a good ride, finishing in 11th place not far behind his teammates.
Slipstream Sports also has some of it’s Junior riders at Tour of the Gila, racing for the 5280 Magazine in their respective USCF categories since there is no Junior race here.
In Stage 1, Taylor Phinney smoked the Cat. 2 time trial, finishing in second place. In the Cat. 3 race, Andrew Barker posted a great 4th place.
