August 15, 2007 - Viseu, Portugal - In today’s time trial stage (Stage 10, Viseu - Viseu, 38.8 km) at the Tour of Portugal, Team Slipstream/Chipotle’s time trial ace Danny Pate rode to an impressive 7th place.

August 13, 2007 - Elk Grove, IL - At the Tour of Elk Grove, in Elk Grove, IL this past weekend, Team Slipstream/Chipotle showed off it’s strong summer form over the three Omnium events.
In Saturday morning’s prologue, Mike Friedman blasted to an impressive 2nd place finish, and Timmy Duggan blazed in right on his heels for 3rd place.
Saturday afternoon, Team Slipstream rode aggressively at the front of the peloton during the circuit race, helping Mike Friedman gain Sprint points, and nearly helping him take over the leader’s jersey. At the end of the day, due to Slipstream’s powerful riding, Friedman came within 1 point of the the lead, and Duggan held on to 3rd place.
In Sunday’s criterium finale, the team again rode strong and displayed effective teamwork helping Friedman in the Sprints and trying valiantly to spring him to the overall Omnium win. In the end, Taylor Tolleson unleashed a furious finishing sprint and came up inches short of besting Ivan Dominguez, one of the best sprinters in the business.
Thanks to Slipstream/Chipotle’s selfless teamwork and great fitness, Mike Friedman finished 2nd overall, and Timmy Duggan 3rd overall.

Summerhill 7th, and Phinney 11th

August 12, 2007 - Aquascalientes, Mexico - On Sunday at the Junior World Championships road race, TIAA-CREF/5280 Magazine teammates Daniel Summerhill and Taylor Phinney rode a strong race for Team USA, finishing 7th and 11th, respectively.
