Prentice is board-certified in both emergency medicine and sports medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. He has been with the team since its inception having been Jonathon Vaughters’ last team physician as a pro rider with the American team Prime Alliance.

Prentice has been involved in the care of elite cyclists for over 20 years and has worked diligently in supporting cycling’s anti-doping efforts. He practices Emergency Medicine at Sonoma Valley Hospital in Sonoma, CA. He lives in nearby Napa, CA. He rides on occasion, but is more of a runner and practicioner of Bikram yoga (aka, “hot yoga”).
