Matt Johnson

Matt Johnson was born in Ottawa, Canada and has rich background in cycling and high-technology.

For the past 10 years Matt has been the CEO of two successful high technology companies, BigWords.com and Visage Mobile. Matt grew both companies from start-up to over $30 million in annual revenue and eventual acquisitions by public companies. In between start-ups, Matt served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at St. Paul Venture Capital a leading venture firm with over $1 Billion under management.

Matt’s career has come full circle back to the sport of cycling. In 1995, Matt was escaping the cold Canadian winter by doing his off season training in California. A chance encounter during a training ride in Southern California was all that it took to move from full-time cyclist to high tech entrepreneur. Now as President of Slipstream, Matt is able to combine his business and start-up experience with his love and passion for the sport of cycling.

Matt lives in Palo Alto, CA with his wife Andrea and three children Holden, Jasper, and Sawyer.
