With a lead-out from Team Garmin-Chipotle H3O, Julian Dean again found himself near the front of today’s final massive sprint. Our favorite “Kiwi Guy” finished 9th in the fast final with Martijn Maaskant close behind in 17th. There were no major changes to GC.

Skirting the Haute-Pyrénées and heading east, today’s Tour stage was relatively uneventful. Team Garmin-Chipotle H3O tightly surrounded Christian Vande Velde throughout the stage, keeping him close to the front and out of trouble.
