Garmin

The Garmin Edge® 705 gives Team Garmin-Chipotle an edge on the competition.

We’re excited to be using the Garmin Edge® 705 GPS cycling computers this year! Now you can share in the fun by checking out, downloading and doing our favorite rides.

If you own a Garmin GPS, you can upload the rides to your Garmin and go ride them yourself. If you don’t own a Garmin GPS, well you should go buy one right now! Seriously, if you don’t own a Garmin, you can still do the rides. Just view them on Google Maps or Google Earth, commit them to memory, and go ride!

Overview:
Finishing 2nd overall in the 2008 Tour of Utah, Blake Caldwell used his Garmin Edge 705 to record all but the final individual time trial of this five-stage race.

The penultimate stage of this year’s Tour of Utah, stage 4 was 99 miles long and included 5 climbs through the Wasatch Mountains. The nearly 15,000 feet of climbing included a mountain top finish on Snowbird.

Every member of Team Garmin-Chipotle H3O worked to protect Blake Caldwell and his yellow leader’s jersey throughout this mountainous day. Though Blake led initially on the final climb, Jeff Louder caught then attacked him with 500 meters to go, ultimately creating a gap of 13″.
