Yesterday, Peter Salon took the best young rider’s jersey and Alex Howes won the most aggressive jersey. Both Peter Salon and Peter Stetina finished in the break and are top fifteen in the overall classification. The VMG/Felt U23 team also moved up to second in the overall team classification.

Danny Summerhill finished a solid 7th in today’s Paris-Roubaix Espoirs that saw an exciting 8-man sprint finale on the Roubaix velodrome. Called the “Petite Reine” or little queen, the 180.5 km race started in Peronne and include 23 sections (36.5 km) of pavé.

The VMG/Felt U23 team continues to impress. Today, VMG/Felt rider Daniel Holloway brought home a silver medal in the points race at the 2008 Pan-American road and track cycling champions in Montevideo, Uruguay. Holloway gave the U.S. its third medal and first silver of the championships. Racing will continue through Sunday, May 11.

Looking good in the pink leader’s jersey, VMG/Felt U23 rider Danny Summerhill (left in pink) took the overall win in the 2008 Tour of the Gila yesterday. His 6th place finish in the final stage was enough to secure his final dominance in the men’s category 2 event.
