The 181 km stage 2 is rolling from the start and kicks off with five short, steep hills in the first 90 km. There are also two intermediate sprints and a final climb right before the finish in Clermont de l’Oise.

Mostly downhill, stage 8 starts at about 1300 meters, climbs the Forca d’Acero to 1530 meters, before descending all the way to the finish in Tivoli. It is 200 km long and should be one of the faster stages.
Stage 8 is scheduled to start at 11:55 and finish between 16:59-17:32.
16 May
The opening stage of the 2008 Tour of Picardie is rolling and fast. The 179 km route includes two intermediate sprints and two mountain points lines, neither of which are over 150 meters.
Stage 1 is scheduled to start at 13:04 and finish between 17:03-17:26.

Stage 7 is 179 km long and uphill from the get-go. This “bumpy” stage includes the Macerone (684 m), the Rionero Sannitico (1051 m) and the Pietransieri (1337 m).
Stage 7 is scheduled to start at 12:15 and finish between 16:59-17:32.
15 May
The longest stage of the 2008 Giro d’Italia starts high with the 656 meter Rionero in Vulture and finishes 247 km later in Peschici with a circuit of Gargano.
Stage 6 is scheduled to start at 10:15 and finish between 16:52-17:36.
14 May
The relatively short 170 km stage 5 includes several short climbs, most notably the 783 meter Fortino, which will kick up heart rates just a few kilometers into the day’s racing.
Stage 5 is scheduled to start at 12:00 and finish between 16:57-17:29.
13 May
The 187 km stage 4 will be another one for the sprinters. It kicks off with a 1100 meter climb, Colle d’Arena, before a long descent and rolling run in to Catanzaro-Lungomare.
Stage 4 is scheduled to start at 12:35 and finish between 17:02-17:31.
12 May
A stage for the sprinters, the 208 km stage 3 begins with the 1017 meter Maleto climb before dropping down to a long, flat run into Milazzo.
Stage 3 is scheduled to start at 11:50 and finish between 16:58-17:30.
