Race report from TJ Grove

Andrew Barker and Robin Eckmann raced men’s cat 2 and rode a very good race. Robin took one of the bonus sprints and finished 7th on the stage. They were pumped to see how well they will do for tomorrow’s two stage day.

Yannick Eckmann and Danny Hiller raced men’s cat 3 and rode a very smooth event and stayed out of trouble. Yannick came in 23rd, and Danny Hiller came in 57th.

Danielle Haulman raced pro women 1-2 and finished much better than last year and felt very good about that. She is excited about the race in general and wants to show how much she has improved.

This week, 5280 Magazine’s Laurel Rathbun broke the Junior Women’s 10-12 record at the Cherry Creek Time Trial series. The previous record holder was none other than our own Danielle Haulman! Laurel broke Danielle’s record by 3 seconds, and beat the 2nd place rider by 5 ½ minutes with a time of 30:03.2.

This Wednesday, two of our junior racers broke the records in their respective categories during Colorado’s Cherry Creek time trial series. Danielle Haulman broke the previous record for Junior Women 17-18 by posting a time of 25:44.9, and Andrew Barker broke the old record for Junior Men 17-18 with a time of 22:16.0.
