Race report: Critérium du Dauphiné, stage 4

Race report from Johnny Weltz:

Today was a flat stage with only a second category mountain in the beginning where two riders broke clear.

The leader’s team kept them on four minutes all day, which was confortable for everybody. We wanted to do the stage for Tyler and with 60 km to go we started to chase them back. It proved not to be all that easy as the two riders up front did a very solid job.

We had all our team at the front and especially Zabriskie was going like a motor bike. Finally we caught them with 2.5 km to go — Andreas and Julian took over to bring Tyler in position. With 200 metres to go Julian let go but tyler wasn’t able to get all up there and he finished sixth. He still needs some more racing for top condition, of course, but the team worked very well.
