The members of the 2011 Garmin-Cervélo team met for the first time in the warm climate of the Cayman Islands. Here is a look at the day three, courtesy of the Cayman Islands Cycling Association.

If day two was relatively relaxed, day 3 more than made up for it. The team started with a ride in the morning, after which they were split into teams of three, each with a local driver, and sent out with a map and clues in order to find a number of hidden ‘treasures’.
Teams showed varying levels of competitiveness and competence at the task, with some flying through while others struggled. However, all had fun and the task allowed team members to visit some of Cayman’s hidden treasures and gave everyone a unique look at the island.
The afternoon was spent on activities including a trip in the Atlantis Submarine, a swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Discovery or a flight in a helicopter with Cayman Islands Helicopters. The team then regrouped to prepare for the evening ahead, which included a reception at the Cayman Motor Museum, hosted by Andreas Ugland.
The Governor of the Cayman Islands, Duncan Taylor was also in attendance to welcome the team to Cayman. For some, the evening concluded with dinner at Ristorante Pappagallo, while others extended it into the early hours as they explored some of the live music venues in Cayman.
