“Today was definitely bitter sweet on a few points,” said Hesjedal. “The loss of Robbie and Tyler in consecutive days is really disappointing and another blow to our team.”

“I know they both really wanted to do great things at this Tour and its sad to see them leave because of injury and bad luck… Heal well guys!”

“For me I felt great today and wanted to force the race and see what could happen. At the end it didn’t work out but I know it wasn’t for lack of trying!”

It seems like everyday, I’m liking Ryder more and more. I really want to see what Ryder does in the Pyrennes. Once again, I’m rooting for you Ryder as many other are as well. It’s great to see a rider like you who’s going for a good spot on GC in the breaks. Johan and Ryder make a good team. Maybe they should send both of them when there are climbs. Good luck to you Ryder and the rest of the team.

Proud to be a Canadian, frustrated watching the tour on the OLN: such horrible coverage of your progress!

Go Ryder; All us Canadians would like to know why the Canadian flag is not posted after your name in the overall standings. After all 10th is looking pretty good!!!!!

    Awesome Ryder.

As the previous poster said, I’m not only frustrated with OLN, but also with main Canadian media including CBC for lack of coverage on Ryder’s progress. CBC said that Ryder was flying under the radar for many years, but Canadians fans have been watching him for that period of time, it is the Canadian media’s radar he was flying under. I would be really happy, if only CBC gives Ryder a fraction of its generous hockey time…

Ryder, a few more hard days, and you are home free.
