Vaughters - Christian needs to look at what he wants to do with his career? Geez - He has been great when racing against non dopers. You were one of the most fragile riders that ever rode the tour. A wasp nearly made your head blow up. I was pro Vaughters then and still am. I am pro Christian and still am. I like Garmin because I think it is the only real team out there. Flashes of brilliance - flashes of disaster are real. Loyalty to good people is endearing to me. Don't start looking like the other teams now - "we must win and cut off people who don't cut it". Garmin goes out there and races - and I believe the success or failure is all real! I don't believe that about the other teams....

Christian, unbelievable luck over the past 2 years. My whole family just hit floor when we saw the crash. While in Spain last summer with my family, I had the great pleasure of riding with you outside of Girona as you were recovering from last year's Giro crash. You could not have been a better host to fellow American in Girona and its something I'll always remember and be thankful for. Thanks for being such a class act. When your luck turns next year, I can't wait to see you put together a beat down on the field! We are all pulling for you here in Blacksburg, Virginia!

My husband and I saw your interview and wanted to wish you a speedy recovery. The tour won't be the same for us without you.

I yelled some very bad words when I heard about Christian. It's just heartbreaking. I know he'll be back as strong as ever. Julian has proven that he's (nearly) indestructible, and Tyler may yet get another shot at a sprint finish after miraculously finishing today. And hey--chapeau to Ryder for a great breakaway.
