Farrar wins Delta Tour of Zeeland

Team Garmin-Transitions returned to the Delta Tour of Zeeland for its third overall win in a row, thanks to strong sprinting by Tyler Farrar and support from the entire team. Director Sportif Matt White sent this recap:

For the third year in-a-row we have wrapped up the general classification with Tyler taking the honors at the Delta Tour.

It may not br the biggest race on our calendar but it was hard-fought, and like they say , a win is a win! To go head-to-head with Rabobank on there home soil is always a challenge.

We brought a good mix of experience and youthful enthusiasm. The team rode superb and were never in trouble controlling the race’s two days of competition.

It was a nice ease back into competition for four of our Giro riders, and a great place to learn the ways of the north for our young ones.

It was a nice step for Tyler as he approaches his last three weeks of preparation for the Tour de France.
