Race report: Tour of Romandie, stage 3
Team Garmin-Transitions’ Christian Vande Velde continues to fine-tune his form for May, putting in a strong time trial result at the Tour of Romandie, says team director Johnny Weltz:
Today was a 23km time trial with a long climb of some 7km. Christian had a good ride and was not far from his normal concurrents except for the surprising winner who gapped off everybody.
VDV is going better every day and is still in the mix for the GC, especially with two hard moutains days coming up.
