Martin stays in KOM lead – Tour of Mediterraneen, stage 3

It was a fast start today with two dangerous guys in the break — Valverde and Vino! So it was general panic behind…

The breakaway lasted for 70 kilometers with Française Des Jeux and AG2R chasing. While the two up front took most of the KOM points Dan Martin climbed well to win the sprint for the rest of the points out of the peloton. He remains in the KOM jersey by two points over Valverde.

Our own Michael Kreder was seventh and is in the lead for the best young rider of the race. Timmy Duggan is starting to feel better as well.
