Director’s report from Lionel Marie:

- Tour of Mediterraneen, stage 2-3

Today was another day very cold (-2 C all day long!) The first attack came after 10kms with Dan Martin making the move. Dan won all climber classification points in the break so he has the jersey.

They were together for 140 kilometers with a max gap of 6 minutes. At 20 km he attacked solo built a 30 second gap but unfortunately the peloton caught him at 400m to the line!

We ll try again tomorrow for a stage… but Dan will be wearing the KOM jersey tomorrow.
