Vuelta a Espana, stage 21

Director’s report from Johnny Weltz:

It was the typical promenade to Madrid and then the some fast laps before a bunch sprint to finish up the final Grand Tour of the season.

David Millar - Vuelta a Espana, stage 21

We didn’t have much to do today so it was up to the guys to finish the Vuelta in good condition — s race that we had been dominant in from the beginnig all the way through, with three amazing stage wins and Tommy D one of the favorites for the GC.

Dan Martin - Vuelta a Espana, stage 21 Also, with a young man Dan martin who finished his first Grand Tour, a Kiwi who wrote history by finish all three big tours, and a young man who had to go home for a family tragedy.

The worlds, unfortunately, played a major role in the last third of the race — riders who have obligations towards the worlds selection for their country. But we are satisfied with a stage win in all three disciplines — TT, mountain and sprint, and a lot of close seconds too!

The riders and the team’s hard working staff has left a very nice impression for its first Vuelta and a good image for its sponsors — it was nice to be part of.

This was a great Vuelta, and it’s been a pleasure following the team. Congratulations once again to Ryder, Tyler, and David, our 3 stage winners; Julian for his 3 GTs; Tommy for fighting so hard to stay in the race; and all the guys who got into breakaways and did a ton of work at the front setting the pace. Good luck to all who are going to the Worlds next week.
