Safety rules – Eneco Tour, stage 7
Director’s report from Matt White:
The Eneco Tour was a huge success for the team. We played a big part in every stag — winning three stages and three other podium finishes. Today was the only day we did not feature. But with rain showers on a very tight technical city time trial course, and the added pressure of the upcoming Vuelta and US Nationals on peoples’ minds, I wanted the boys to take no risks so we chose to play it safe.
Regardless, everybody who rode here will be even stronger at their next race, whatever that may be. The boys gained a lot of confidence in themselves and the ability of Tyler this week. I’m sure the momentum will carry on for the remainder of the season!
