Director’s report from Matt White:
The best way to describe today was Tour of Flanders in a oven! Today was the hottest day in Belgium in 24 years; 38 Celsius.
It was a super aggressive day which was very hard to control for us, with 10 climbs from the Tour of Flanders. It was a rude day in the office!
The boys controlled things well but then it went crazy and the bunch split in half. We had Chris Sutton and Bradley Wiggins with Tyler Farrar. Cj rode like a trooper having more comebacks than Muhammad Ali. Then we basically had to play it cool and ride off of other teams.
And it worked catching the last escapee 300m from the finish, with Tyler proving again he is the fastest man in the world in August!
Sprint again tomorrow. We are going for the hat-trick and if I was a betting man I know where my money would be!
