Very nice ride by everyone, but especially Bradley and Christian for hanging on to those top 10 spots. I’ve got my fingers crossed for Tyler to get a stage win tomorrow in Paris.

  • Rodney Owens

Super effort Bradley. You can be very proud with your achievements because we ‘Brits’ are very proud of you. Well done to Garmin Slipstream team for making the Tour one to remember.

We screamed and shouted at the TV all afternoon. If we could have we’d have pushed Brad all the way. When he crossed the line 20 seconds after Frank Schleck we cried with joy.
That was one of the greatest sporting achievements I’ve watched, and one of the greatest moments of British cycling. Well done Brad… Magnifique!!!!!

  • david

True masters of the high road! What a fantastic tour. Congratulations to Garmin-Slipstream!

Fantastic ride by Brad and the rest of the team to put him in that position.

Had me shouting at the screen at the end watching the seconds tick by.

  • ladidragona

Bravo pour cette 10° place et surtout pour avoir garder sa 4° place au general. Merci a votre équipe pour nous avoir fait vivre un super tour.

  • Chris Buck

Great job guys! That looked brutal. David, great work getting Wiggo and Christian to the climb.

  • arron

Wow that felt Brutal and thats just watching on the TV a world of pain.

Thought that was the end for Brad when they attacked, but he just dug deep and recovered too hold 4th fantastic stuff.

VDV 8th spot was another great ride and the whole team was on it from start to finish.

On too Paris, I will toast the team with a beer on Sunday.

STUNNING EFFORT Bradley Wiggins. You did us Brits soooo proud today. Nothing more to say than a heartfelt and awe-filled Chapeau to you.

Great effort Garmin – sterling performance by CVV today as well.

It’s been a pleasure watching the whole team over the last 3 weeks! The results were amazing, even if the deserved wins didn’t materialise. Can’t wait to see the strip on the Podium many times next year!

  • phil

A huge effort, and very brave indeed. Congrats Bradley, and to the rest of the team as well. What a backdrop too! And here’s hoping for a magical win on the Champs by Tyler on Sunday.

  • Mike VB

Another fantastic finish. Became a Garmin fan last year and you have now cemented my support!

Congrats to Wiggo, VDV and all the rest.
Now on to Paris and a stage win for Tyler!!

    Congrats and thanks.

  • Hayden

What a fantastic race. The team’s still together, and you’ve all proven yourselves to be a force no one should take lightly. Congratulations, everyone!

  • Mike

Great riding guys. Really enjoyed cheering for everyone today. Give’em hell on the Champs tomorrow!

  • David

After his performance in the Tour, Wiggo needs a pay rise!!! He is a true British hero and hopefully he can follow up his performance of the last three weeks with some big results in cycling’s major races. Congrats to the whole team for a very successful race.

  • Nick

I actually Cheered Bradley when he held fourth. I am a huge Lance fan and was hoping both he and Bradley could pass Andy Schleck today and both get podium finishes.

However, Bradley did a fantastic job at keeping his 4th place spot. I was so pround and even though he is British felt a bunch of pride for the American team.

I was even more impressed with Christian. You could tell he wasn’t fully recovered for his Giro injury which is why I was so impressed with him. To come out and finish 8th was remarkable. I hope both Christian and Bradley get podium finishes next year!

    G-S Racing,

You are the surprise of the 2009 Tour. I have been impressed by your innovation, strategy and persistence. I have been inspired your team effort, including but not limited to:

The wizardry of Vaughters & White
    The toughness of VDV
    Wiggo!
    The inspirational story of Tyler
The timely wattage of Zabriskie & Millar
    The Pate.

Wow, what a Tour! You did us Yankees proud, and I laughed as British announcers Sherwen and Liggett tried to disguise their support for Wiggo’s ride up Ventoux this morning. Lots of proud Brits on that mountain!

Enjoy the ride into Paris. You are “champs” in every way.

    All the best,
    Andy

  • Renate

Way to go guys, it was truly incredible and amazing to watch. You are all amazing and all I can say is congrats to the whole team for a fantastic Tour.

Wiggo and Christian – simply amazing!

  • Dale S

Totally awesome ride by Team Garmin today.
That was some great riding there Wiggo, no matter what they thru your way you just hung in there – that was amazing to watch.

Great ride Ryder – 35th on tough stage like today speaks volumes to your riding ability.

Have a great final stage tomorrow everyone and savour the moment, then give yourselves all a pat on the back.

JV – Thank You for assembling such a great team and to all the unsung support workers who toil away behind the scenes – Bravo, job well done.

brad watched you grow these past years into the allround racer that you are now!
next year the brits have a team and you are likely to be on top of the podium with the talent that is now coming thru the ranks
    good luck today

  • RB

The highlight of the tour de france this year has been Bradley’s performance. Just the biz from start to finish.

    well done sir.

  • Sean Schmitt

Awesome results all around! I can’t wait to witness what the future holds for this team. There’s no need to hire anyone like an Alberto Contador. The team has all the talent it needs without the ego of a “superstar”.

  • DT

Cogratulations to the team and staff of G-S Racing!! Bravo on everyone’s performance and teamwork for the Tour. Will look forward to seeing the squad race in the Tour of Missouri!

  • Matthew Harris

You have got to be kidding me. I was standing just off the camera shot of wiggo climbing Ventoux. 1/2 second later and I am famous!

  • gerardo dozal

vande velde still being my heroe……

  • Thomas

A big pat on the back for Bradley for not only performing so well this year in France but taking the time to spin his bike around when our family shouted to him on his circuits around the Champs-Elysées! He could not miss me just before my voice gave up after cheering the team on and we could not believe he was coming over to us! He signed my PMU green wavy hand including my friend’s Swindon Road Cycling club top before riding off-we very nearly had his shirt off his back yet he made it pretty clear he’d have nothing to wear instead-can’t argue with that! What a top man you are Bradley- I only hope I can follow in your footsteps. Thanks once again and hope to see you next year!!

  • Jennifer

You were all amazing in the Tour and I’m proud to be a fan. Garmin has really grown as a team since last year. Two guys in the top ten!
