Director’s report from Johnny Weltz
Today was similar to yesterday and everybody waited for the same outcome — and so it happened. Four riders got away and got five minutes then the field started their chase. They kept them in a really short line and it was never close enough to smell a stage win.
Once they hit the climb people set-up quite an easy pace as the week of racing starts to notice. The riders for the GC did their battle and had the same outcome as the others days. Ryder put in a heroic fight and is becoming better every day — but he is still just a little bit short of the best riders.
He landed in 21st spot and stayed the same on GC. The other guys made it in fine as well.
