Team effort keeps Millar in top-ten GC – Dauphine Libere, stage 7

Tom Peterson - Dauphine Libere, stage 7Director’s report from Lionel Marie:

A very team job today!

Tom Peterson tried a lot but he was the unlucky man in the break, leaving without him. But he did a very good bringing bottles for the team until the last climb.

Timmy Duggan and Christian Meier took the good mouv in lotaret just before Le Galibiet. Timmy dropped and it was the best thing for David Millar because until the last climb Timmy played a very good teammate role — always near Dave ready to put him on Evans’ wheel.

Dan Martin our climber felt very good today and was the last one for Dave — not only to lead but to give him confidence until the line.

Finally, Dave is in top ten overall — chapeau Monsieur Millar!

Svein Tuft arrived with the gruppetto and Steven Cozza is a DNF (sick.)

And our Canadian champion Christian gave a lot today and I’m sure we’ll see him for a victory soon.

Christian Meier - Dauphine Libere, stage 7

Our team gave a real good ride — we can be proud today.
