I am sad for you, David. You would have deserved to win. It was a great escape! Next time you will get it.
What a brilliant attack. Looked like you had it in the bag as the sprinters jostled for position. Clearly got some good form after Edinburgh and a decent ride in the prologue – roll on the time trial.
I’m so frustrated for you right now. Best of luck throughout the rest of the Dauphine.
Glad to see David is back in action!! I hope to see in the Tour this year!
Valiant effort! Just what we’ve been waiting for, throwing caution to the wind and going for it!
a definitely enormous “come on dave” performance. you are a phenemonal energy mr millar. huge respect. chris davies and 7 year old neal.
Its great to see David Millar back to his old form even eurosport noticed, although I dont think they noticed h’ed moved up on the GC. I cant wait for the tdf.
Trés beau final, dommage que les équipes de sprinteurs ont roulé car sinon david avait la victoire. Contente de le revoir en pleine forme. Bonne chance pour la suite de l’epreuve.
Good stuff Millar!
Anyone who missed it:

Wow – even Ekimov didn’t go from that far out! This kind of riding makes cycle racing exciting. The win has to come soon.
All the best George
