Teamwork puts Farrar in the mix again – Giro d’Italia, stage 13

Race report from Matt White

Tyler Farrar - Giro d'Italia, stage 13 Today was the best lead-out we have had yet for Tyler. The combination of riders we have working for and with him is new, so we’re happy with five top five placements. A stage win would have been nice, but we’re still a young team. We may have fallen a bit short of today’s goal but it wasn’t for a lack of commitment! There’s still a lot of racing to be had here and for the rest of the season. On to stage 14!

Cameron Meyer - Giro d'Italia, stage 13

David Zabriskie - Giro d'Italia, stage 13

Bradley Wiggins - Giro d'Italia, stage 13 Bradley Wiggins - Giro d'Italia, stage 13

Saw it on TV, a great job by the team today. Tyler has had a shot at every field sprint finish. Bravísimo!

Nice save after Petacchi tried to take your front wheel out.

Good lead out guys, just a bit of bad luck at the end, but thats bike racing for you. Once Julian is firing on top form at the tour things should be pretty interesting, TF will have the best lead out man in the peleton, or will TF be leading out Kiwi Guy?

C’est vrai que toute l’équipe a bien travailler sur cette étape, dommage que la victoire d’étape n’était pas au bout. On espère qu’il y aura une victoire pour l’équipe avant la fin du Giro.
