Duggan on the attack, DZ in contention – País Vasco, stage 2

Team Garmin-Slipstream’s Timmy Duggan was on the attack today in the second stage of the Vuelta a País Vasco. Duggan attacked in the first 10km of the race, starting the action for the day. Ryder Hesjedal was mixing it up in the field sprint for third place with a top-twenty result. The team’s GC hopes are still high with Dave Zabriskie just 42 seconds off the lead — particularly since the final stage is a 24km individual time trial.

WaHoOOO…. DZ & VDV now is the time for the great bike riders to stand up to the heathen hoard of lesser riders and make the leap of faith to the next level…of the podium that is.

  2. Lozy says:

Great work yesterday! Good luck on the steep mountains today!

  3. What does the team do to get accurate reading with the heart rate monitor, when the wind especially going down hill causes the bike jersey to vibriate and the monitor picks up the jersy and not the the true heart rate?

Through Stage 3, its been a very tough week for you guys. Keep your heads up, every team has a bad race now and again.
