Sutton adds another top-ten in De Panne

Three Days of De Panne

Director’s report from Johnny Weltz

A long day with 220km to race! It was a fast start but it was not as crazy as the first day. A group of four broke loose but that was reduced to three quite fast. As it was easy to control they were allowed up to 10 minutes before the chase came on. We wanted to have an easy day and got through it quite well.

We did prepare the sprint for Chris where Friedman was last guy with 500 meters to go, but once again Cavendish showed he is the fastest at the moment , and Chris did an honorable 6th place. We now have tuned the guys into the time trial tomorrow where Martijn has to go for GC and Brad or Svein for the stage victory!

Very important pre-race preparations…
