Team Garmin-Slipstream began the Critérium International with a strong effort. First, Timmy Duggan was one of only four riders to make it into the day’s main break, which stayed away for most of the stage. Then in the finish, Julian Dean contested the sprint with an eight place result, despite crashing earlier in the stage.
