Team Garmin-Slipstream rode bravely in the tough mountain finish in the queen stage of the ‘race to the sun.’ The team’s GC leader David Millar hung tough with the main contenders in the final climb to La Montagne de Lure, limiting his losses to keep a top twenty place in overall with 17th.
Saturday’s seventh stage from Manosque to Fayence is a rolling stage that will take the riders more south to warmer temperatures over ten climbs, all of which are rated between category two and three.
