David Millar, Tour Med stage 5

Tour Med Stage 5 Race Report from Jason Donald

Though pretty straight-forward, today was quite a hard day when all was said and done. Such a big, powerful break went yesterday, that Caisse d’Epargne were not going to let that happen again. There were some massive rollers in the first fifty kilometers and it was full gas from the gun. We did almost 800 meters of climbing at an average speed of 47 kph! No joking around today.

We were ever vigilant at the front, keeping any breaks under control. (David leads the bunch above.) And we are looking forward to putting our stamp on the whole bloody thing tomorrow!
