The 2008 Circuit Franco-Belge opens with a 187.9 km stage that starts and finishes in northern France, with the majority of the stage running through the provence of Hainaut in Belgium. The finish is a four-lap circuit in Mons-en-Pevele.

Stage 1 is schedule to start at 12:06 and finish between 16:22-16:47.
