Britain stage 7: Kiwi Guy 5th after long breakaway; Martin still 3rd overall

Julian Dean, Tour of Britain stage 7 Jumping in and hanging on to the decisive break of the day, Julian Dean finished 5th in today’s grey, wet stage 7 at the Tour of Britain. The escapees managed to work together and hold their gap to just over two minutes all the way to the finish at Drumlanrig Castle.

Magnus Backstedt, Dan Martin, Tour of Britain stage 7 With the help of his teammates, Dan Martin finished in the first chase group with race leader Lequarte. He is holding steady at third with just 14″ separating him and the leader’s jersey.

Tomorrow’s final stage 8 is 110 km long and finishes with six exciting circuits in downtown Liverpool.
