Tour of Missouri stage 1: St. Joseph>Kansas City with Tyler Farrar

Overview:
Team Garmin-Chipotle H3O dominated the 2008 Tour of Missouri. Christian Vande Velde took over the leader’s jersey by winning the stage 3 individual time trial, and never looked back. With the support of the well-tuned Argyle Armada, he finished the seven-day stage race the overall champion.

Tyler Farrar also represented the team well in the hotly contested mass sprints. Nearly 90 miles and mostly rolling, stage 1 came down to a technical and sketchy final sprint in Kansas City. On this opening stage of the race, Tyler finished second only to the seemingly invincible British sprinter Mark Cavendish.
