The Tour of Britain kicks off with a spectacular day of cycling entertainment in the capital. The race returns to the centre of London for the first time since 2006 and will christen a totally new circuit based on Victoria Embankment and incorporating some of London’s most famous landmarks including Big Ben and the Tower of London.
The opening stage of the race will cover 10 laps of the new circuit as the riders battle it out to see who will wear the first leaders Yellow Jersey in the 2008 race.

come on garmin! as a british fan im looking forward to seeing you in the flesh for the first time!
i’ll be there watching with a giant banner(if i can get round to making it!)
you guys have this race in your clutches!just thrash those rock racing punks for us!
go argyle!
Another British fan who will be there with the whole family, can’t wait to see you guys in the flesh either… got interested in pro cycling at TOB stage in Kent in 2006, and TDF stage 1 in 2007, with Dave Millar’s superb breakaway… and have been following him ever since. He really seems to be in his element at Garmin. And you all did great at the Tour de France. So we expect a Garmin win in the TOB, especially now Cav isn’t riding
hey T-lowe keep it in the dog mate!
