Giving it his all to the very end, Julian Dean battled over the brutal St. Pat’s climb during today’s finishing circuits to stick with today’s top contenders. Unfortunately, Marco Pinotti had just a bit more juice and took third on the stage behind the two-man break, earning the bonus time he needed to take the overall.
Julian finished third overall and 21″ of Pinotti after five days and nearly 22 hours of hard racing. Next up for the northern European crew is the Tour of Britain, which starts Sunday, September 7th.

awsome ride julz. last stage looked real tough, good on you for fighting it out,
unlucky guys - you all did well!
it was amazing to see all the riders see the climb and just turn around though
Maggy in the break on 4, Millar killing it later that stage, Lowe and Maaskant pushing the pace up the hill in stage 5, and Dean having an amazing race on all fronts — so much fun to watch! Nice work, guys!
so, we’ll see you over here next week…
well done julz! what a result
Way to go Julz!!! It’s unfortunate everyone was kinda down for the count and couldn’t back you fully. Get well soon guys!
