Race report from DS Matt White:
“Well our two sick boys CJ and Dan had nothing left and had to stop. Julian picked up more time bonuses and moved up to second place on GC.”
“Tomorrow is a very solid 200 km and the plan is to have one of the boys in the break. In my opinion, Cavendish is content with two wins and the break will stick.”
Julian Dean is also currently third in the overall points classification.

If I could get a Garmin-Chipolte Kiwi national champ kit, I’d be wearing it right now. Go Dean, go.
And how about that Maggy? He seems to be over whatever ailed him during the Tour de France.
Tough call Dan, but a very wise and mature decision. Get well soon and come out fighting !
Yeah, Dean!
I just found out that it’s televised and that my TiVo has been recording it (perhaps I’m a little slow to the game, but hey), so I’ve caught up on the first two stages. Great sprints!
It’s sad to see Martin and Sutton leave, but I’ve loved seeing Backstedt up there leading out the Garmin train.
I keep waiting for Mark to some how mess up!!…that man is a sprinting GOD!!! Keeping trying to crush him Julian!!! Good luck guys!! Keep the Armada Rolling!!
