Race preview from DS Matt White

Well wet and windy is what we expected, and sure enough we have it.

There’s a relatively small field here of 112. There are several elite teams, so we can expect aggressive racing - especially from the local lads! We had some bad luck with Chris and Dan picking up some sort of stomach bug in Portugal [confirmed by Tour of Ireland race doctors]. But after two days in bed, they look much better. Although, we’ll have to nurse them through the first day or two!

There are some very lumpy stages towards the end of the week, which look good for our two climbers Dan and Trent. Until then, we just have to stay attentive.
