The Denver Post talks to Taylor Phinney, his father Davis and his coach Neal Henderson about his performance in the 4000-meter individual pursuit semi-finals in the Beijing Olympics.

From the article: “To put Taylor’s Olympics in perspective, Saturday was only his 10th pursuit race. He didn’t pick up the sport until last fall. He didn’t turn 18 until June 27. About 20 family members attended, nearly all wearing red T-shirts emblazoned with his caricature and all his honors, plus the destinations totaling the 80,000 miles he had to travel to qualify for the Olympics. Try doing that at 17 and then compete on the world’s stage. ‘A teenager’s body is meant to sleep in,’ said his coach, Neal Henderson.”
