Set to defend Dan Halloway’s Elite Criterium Stars & Stripes, the Felt - VMG / Garmin - Chipotle U23 team hit the front at full gas with 7KM to the finish. Reminiscent of the best of the days of Chipollini’s lead out train, Danny Summerhill delivered teammate Dan Holloway perfectly to the 250 meters to point. The final sprint was all up to Holloway’s finishing speed. While the race was won by Justin Willams, Halloway’s 3rd is a great accomplishment building on his successful results at the Tour of Pennsylvania.
