As the final day of the 2008 Tour de France, stage 21 and its rolling profile and Parisian finish are a welcome site for the peloton. Typically, the first half of this final stage is more ceremonial with champagne toasts and swapped out jerseys and bikes.
The Champs-Élysées circuit finish, with its final nine 6.5 laps, is another matter. If the race for the green jersey is tight, expect a lot of action from the contenders during the exciting finale. But no matter what, a win on the Champs-Élysées is a highly coveted accomplishment and the racing will be good.
Stage 21 is scheduled to start at 13:45 and finish between 17:09-17:31.
