Tour de France stage 16: Cuneo>Jausiers

Hopefully the riders are rested after their day off in Cuneo because stage 16 takes them back in to the high mountains. After a rolling and slightly uphill start from Cuneo, Italy, the riders cross in to France by way of the 21.2 km Col de la Lombarde. This hors category climb has grades averaging 7%.

After a fast downhill to Isola, France, the riders can look forward to climbing the highest pave road in France, the 2802 meter Cime de la Bonette-Restefond. The second hors category climb of the day, the Bonette-Restefond is 26.7 km long with 6.2% average grades. The finish is downhill into Jausiers.

Stage 16 is scheduled to start at 12:30 and finish between 16:38-17:07.
