Same strategy: Get to ITT with limited time gap

Our strategy has not changed!
We have Christian in very good position in the general classification in the closet Tour in memory. The pressure is for other teams and riders to get rid of Christian in the next two days. Our plan is to just limit any time lost to the climbing specialists and let Christian’s time trial talents shine on Saturday! The rest of the team is in full support of this and will give all they have to be around him as long as possible!

Sounds like a sensible plan guys.
Let CSC do what they’ve been doing and stay with them as long as possible, then limit the losses – or who knows, maybe even give them some of their own medicine!, then take it all back in the time trial.
Two hard days ahead, fingers crossed for CVV and all of Garmin / Chipotle.
You guys will go great!!! CVV, you’re a fighter and no one has any doubt about your ability to stick with the big names!!!!

Why let Pate and Hesjedal go up the road in a break leaving VDV with no protection to pull him/protect him to the finish? No choice but to attack on 7/23.
With 3 to 4+ minutes behind, not even superman could make that much time up in a time trial. It’s time to fight in the last half of the mountains! Opportunity for tommorrow never comes unless you work hard today.

Team Garmin has done such a fabulous job in the Tour. I am thrilled beyond belief for you all. It makes me even more proud to be on a team that rides Felt!!!! Ride on Ride Fast and Via Le Tour!!!!
