I’ve been amazed at how busy we are here in France. With one of the biggest differences from just “any other bike race” being the constant media attention. So first and foremost, there always some time devoted to the press. Many quality hours have been spent with the space legs on, effectively immobilizing you for 30 minutes+, and that time gets spent either with a book, back on the computer, or watching French TV.
I’ve also been working on a Catalan-cuisine inspired CLIF Bar flavor, probably under the Mojo line. It starts with a solidified grapefruit puree core, is wrapped in a tube of foie gras, then coated in a paper thin chocolate shell and rolled in bitter cocoa and smoked sea salt. I’m not sure about the packaging, or the name quite yet, but I think there’s a future for it, albeit small.
Otherwise, we are living by the age-old cycling adage of “why stand when you can sit, why sit when you can lay down.” Recovery has been the big focus for sure.

Keep up the great work. I’m still amazed you have the energy to write every night. The blogs have been great. I appreciate it. Best wishes and good luck in the Alps.

Send me some of those new CLIF bars..
Then work on a new Le Burrito as well
Sorry, that’s a Clif Bar I’d pass on. Keep up the good work…
Will’s journal entries after each day are absolutely fantastic. This guy has a career after cycling, that is for sure.
Thanks for the down home perspective
I keep checking VeloNews for Will’s latest update. These things are classic and I am willing to invest into the shower curtain idea
Just Ride baby…RIDE!!!
Vive Le Burrito!!
