The longest stage of the 2008 Tour de France, stage 5 is 232 km of flat, straight roads. Heading due east, today’s course includes three intermediate sprints. The profile is just right for a strong breakaway to stick or perhaps just a flashy mass sprint final.
Stage 5 is scheduled to start at 11:45 and finish between 16:54-17:25.
