Millar TdF stage 4 ITTFinishing third and 18″ off stage winner and new yellow jersey Stefan Schumacher, David Millar moved (right) up to third overall and just 12″ back. Joining David in a top ten performance today was Christian Vande Velde, whose 8th place finish moved him up to 6th in the general classification.

Former U23 world time trial champ Danny Pate was the first member of Team Garmin-Chipotle H3O to register the time to beat. Starting 57th, Danny finished in 36′54″ and held onto his lead for a little more than an hour when Frenchman Sylvain Chavanel bettered Danny’s time by one second. Danny finished a respectable 14th today.

Team Garmin-Chipotle H3O’s collectively strong performance today allowed them to increase their time gap to 1′44″ in the overall team classification.
