Bicycling’s Joe Lindsey, writing for The Wall Street Journal, covers Will Frischkorn’s epic ride and amazing second place finish during stage 3 of the 2008 Tour de France.
“Will’s exuberance almost won it today but his inexperience lost it,” said Mr. Vaughters. “But he’ll be in that position again many times over his career. And the next time it happens he’ll get it right. … I don’t know if Will really believed he could race the Tour. I think he was a little bit scared of it. He’ll be tired tomorrow, but now he knows he can race the Tour. And he knows he can win here, too.”

I haven’t heard from anyone who was not impressed with that ride. Nice job to Will and the team.
