I rather prefer Vaughter's insistense that the readers and fans be allowed to draw thier own conclusions. If he admits to doping he'll be labeled a hypocrite and risk sponsorship, if he denies doping then he labled by the court of public opinion as a cheat anyway because of his associate with US Postal during that period.

By allowing my own inference of his past, I have a stronger appreciation for the Garmin-Chipotle Team. What this team has done is magnificent and historical in the athletic community not just cycling.

Best of luch in the TdF fellas!

Great interviews on velonews.tv. For me (as a fan) this is great joy. Don't let the business end spoil this moment. I'm buying Garmin 705 (and columbia cycling gear when it comes) just to show support. Stay clean... stay open... and thank you!

For those wondering why JV wouldn't answer the question, Google "vaughters lance texas trial affidavit paceline" and see what you find. I think you will understand why he can't say anything.

i thought the article was a load of rubbish. the intorduction was quite good but you can tell kimmage is a rubbish interviewer. if your talking to someone trying to highlight what they are doing why does he dwell so much on the past and trying to get a hit story? is his intent to appeal to the reader or just have a headline " Clean team director was a dope!" awful

I would respect JV a lot more if he would answer the question. He needs to answer the question and not hide behind the veil of innuendo. It's not about Lance Armstrong, cancer, live strong or any of that other BS... it's about establishing credibility and concrete belief in what JV says he is doing with Team Garmin-Chipotle. Millar has that credibility because he has been open about what he did... but again that is because he got caught. If JV doesn't have to face the music for what he did because he didn't get caught, what kind of message does that send?

I love this team and I will always support it, but I would be even prouder of JV and what he is doing if he would have answered Kimmage's question.
