Attacking on Tuscarora Summit, the first KOM of the day, Peter Stetina broke away, building up a heroic four-minute gap, only to be overtaken just 100 short meters before the finish. Said Peter in a Cyclingnews.com interview: “Honestly, with one kilometre to go I thought I still had it,” said Stetina, who started a grueling sprint to hold on to his slim 10 second lead with 500-meters to go. “I think the last little up hill drag is what did me in.”
Peter’s efforts earned him the KOM and Most Aggressive jerseys. Peter Salon still leads the Best Young Rider classification and VMG/Felt moved in to first overall in the team classification.

One Response for "Tour of PA stage 3: Stetina solos, takes KOM, most aggressive"
I was at the finish line in Bedford, PA, and I was cheering for Peter all the way! I truly thought he was going to pull it off. But right in front of me, they caught him. He put in an incredible effort and has much to be proud of. With this type of talent and the commitment of clean racing, American cylcing is in very good hands. Congrats to VMG-Felt. You guys are all winners in my book. Thanks!!
